THE POSITION:

Reporting directly to the VP of Manufacturing Operations for CPM\xe2\x80\x99s Industrial Solutions Business Unit, the Global Continuous Improvement Manager is a key team member responsible for facilitating the integration of continuous improvement into the plant operations at the platform level and supporting the twelve global site locations that make up the Industrial Solutions platform. This job will require on average 60% travel.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Key owner of helping develop, rolling out and supporting Hoshin Strategy Deployment for the platform
  • Key facilitator, developer and site coach/mentor for utilizing lean tools and kaizen culture
  • Support and drive a lean culture
  • Help create a standardized lean tool box and then train others how to use it: Value Stream Mapping and Process Mapping, 6S, TPI, Problem Solving, RCCA, Waste Elimination, 3P, SMED, and TPM
  • Lead the implementation of these same Lean Principles to drive KPI improvements \xe2\x80\x93 SQDCI visual daily management and Gemba
  • Coach the team on how to develop and lead projects through the use of Action Plans and KPI Bowlers/Scorecards
  • Help measure and report progress on site initiatives, TTI and KPI metrics
  • Cross functional collaboration to get participation and support for events and help develop a standard kaizen PDCA process at each site
  • Support other business priorities as necessary
THE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 7+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience and education
  • A strong grasp on the key manufacturing drivers of the P&L and how to impact them
  • Experience as a Lean Leader or P&L Owner through the yearly business cadence (Opex/Strat Plan, Budget, SD, Performance Ownership)
  • Supply Chain and metal manufacturing and assembly process familiarity and experience in the metal manufacturing industry is required
  • Demonstrated successful track record in leading business process and manufacturing process improvement kaizens and projects
  • Strong record of pulling, analyzing and using data to drive improvement
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project
  • Strong track record of cross functional leadership experience
  • A demonstrated track record of improving global businesses
  • ERP/MRP transformation experience is a plus
  • The ability to productively work from home is important
  • Location is optional but Midwestern USA is optimal. Access to a major airport is critical since the plants you will support are in Iowa, Indiana, Minneapolis, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Ontario Canada, Netherlands, Italy, Singapore, and China.
