Job Description



LER TechForce is looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager to work in Pine Grove Pennsylvania. This role is for a large textile facility and will require the person to be onsite.

The Continuous Improvement Manager will champion the LEAN improvement journey through the application of LEAN principles to rapidly improve overall operational functions such as quality improvements, lead time reduction, on-time delivery improvement, overall cost reductions, profitability growth, processing capability development, and throughput enhancements.

Job Duties:

  • Demonstrate the ability to work safely and effectively while supporting the safety goals of the Plant.
  • Create a culture of improvement by developing systems that encourage employees to identify and resolve problems.
  • Develop and manage high impact i4.0 projects to ensure effective end-to-end activities execution from conceptualization, design & development, section of systems and solutions, and ensure that timely and on budget solutions are delivered.
  • Creating a strategic plan for improving efficiency, reducing operational costs, reducing the consumption of raw materials, energy, labor resources, and increasing revenue.
  • Measure and report operational performance to ensure that goals are met.
  • Effectively advise management of product conformance, capability issues, wasteful trends, and provide fact -based recommendations for improvement and problem resolution.
  • Develop and implement new policies and/or procedures that enhance efficiency and/or improve Plant performance.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews to identify opportunities for financial investment, additional talent requirements, training opportunities, and/or the development of systems and controls.
  • Designs mechanical and automated-electromechanical systems by defining and developing specifications and methods to automate the Plant\'s manufacturing centers.
  • Optimize processes, shorten cycle times, improve quality, reduce energy loss, shorten downtime events, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Evaluate mechanical and automated-electromechanical systems by designing and conducting research and/or applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.
  • Confirm system and product capabilities by designing and conducting feasibility studies and defining test methods and properties.
  • Writes and presents capital expenditure approval documents to senior management and secures funding for projects.
  • Provide data for the justification of capital expenditures.
  • Assures system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished product and system capabilities; and confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes of new equipment/systems.
  • Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing process information and trends.
  • Maintains product and company reputation by complying with various regulations.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing professional networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Review and validate SOP\'s to ensure accuracy to current processes.
  • Ability to work on the production floor with employees to train, root cause concerns, and assist with the implementation of corrective actions or new processes/systems.
  • Provide mentoring and training to the required personnel as needed.
  • Perform other tasks as required by management.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree or master\'s degree in a relevant manufacturing-oriented stream.
  • 12+ years of demonstrable experience in a pertinent technical/leadership role.
  • Assertive, extreme ownership, and clear style of communication.
  • Must be a successful talent worthy of being part of the Company\'s succession plan for future Plant Leadership/Senior Leadership roles.
  • Strategic thinking, honesty, and unfailing ethics in business dealings.
  • Unmatched LEAN, process improvement, presentation, data analysis, project management, error proofing and interpersonal abilities.
  • Able to concept, embrace and implement industry i4.0 principles.
  • Experience with manufacturing automation.
  • Superior computer skills.
  • Ability to develop and document clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Highly analytical mind, with exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to details.
