GENERAL SUMMARY:

Fleet Logistics Specialist is responsible for driving and transporting participants around the community and to medical appointments as needed. Additionally, the incumbent is the primary back-up to the Manager of Fleet Logistics. This position is full time Monday thru Friday 8am to 4pm with no weekend or holiday hours.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides primary back-up coverage to the Manager of Fleet Logistics, including, but not limited to:
  • Utilizing transportation management system, managing logistics of route scheduling and staffing to efficiently utilize fleet of vans and Element Care drivers to ensure safe and timely transportation of participants.
  • Monitoring drivers and vans while en route through tracking software.
  • Ensures company vans are properly maintained, cleaned, and safely operated to avoid accidents and enhance company image.
  • Reviews and audits vehicle maintenance logs.
  • Runs transportation reports.
  • Prepares information, verifying data accuracy and completeness. Compiles information for inclusion in reports.
  • Assists participants to and from the van for all pickups and drop offs.
  • Uses preventative measures to maintain vehicles\xe2\x80\x99 interior and exterior on a consistent basis to ensure safe transportation.
  • Notifies Manager of Fleet Logistics immediately of any incidents out of the ordinary, client injuries, client falls, or accidents.
  • Removes snow around surrounding area of vans during the winter months to ensure client safety and the safe operation of the van.
  • Assists Center Staff with local activities and other duties, as needed.
  • Assists with onboarding of new drivers, including job shadowing.
  • Acts as a backup for all routes when driver is unavailable.
  • Ability to pass a fit test. Position may include duties that require wearing a face mask where a seal is critical. Incumbent may be required to not have facial hair that interferes with a tight seal of the respirator.
  • Performs other duties as requested.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
  • Valid state Drivers License from the state of residence
  • Previous \xe2\x80\x9cteam lead\xe2\x80\x9d experience (1-2 years)
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to pass a DOT Physical and DOT mandated driver training
  • Be CPR and First Aid Certified
  • Able to physically move and maneuver participants in a wheelchair
  • Must be a responsible, flexible team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong administrative skills to organize paperwork and provide reporting.
  • Covid vaccines required.
