Job Description


  • The Accounting Manager will oversee all internal controls, and all internal financial reporting for the distribution firm. The Accounting Manager will be a key piece in continue to evolve all current standards and reporting processes, and will be the leader of future long term strategic financial initiatives.
  • Interpreting and researching complex accounting rules and regulations, and assessing their impact on the company\'s financial statements and disclosures.
  • Providing technical accounting guidance to various departments within the company, including but not limited to, accounting, finance, and operations.
  • Developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Leading the implementation of new accounting standards, including ASC 842, revenue recognition, and lease accounting.
  • Preparing and reviewing technical accounting memos and whitepapers to support accounting positions taken by the company.
  • Assisting with the preparation of SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, and other regulatory filings.
  • Collaborating with external auditors on technical accounting matters and providing support for audit requests.
  • Participating in cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements related to accounting and financial reporting.
  • Providing training and guidance to accounting and finance teams on technical accounting matters.

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA certification required.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in technical accounting or public accounting, including experience with SEC reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles and regulations.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex accounting standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

The distribution firm offers great WFH flexibility, and do not have a set standard in place - most employees are on-site 1-2 days a week.
