The Financial Analyst performs fund accounting and financial management functions including financial and year-end reporting for the Council\'s Community Development or Metropolitan Transportation Services programs. Responsibilities include the preparation of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) based financial statements for the Council\'s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report and monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reporting and financial analysis. Review and analysis of general ledger accounts, creation of journal entries to properly account for Council activities, analysis of variance from the budget, ad-hoc reporting, state and federal draws, and internal controls related to the timeliness and accuracy of financial reporting. This position is eligible for hybrid (remote and onsite) teleworking.
Requirements:
Bachelor\'s degree AND four (4) years of progressive experience in an accounting or banking/investments environment including the development and use of financial or budgeting systems.
