The OOMC affiliates are optometric referral practices providing a full range of specialty services for the advanced treatment of eye diseases. The affiliate brands, by design, offer no primary care optometric services, but promote a partnership between optometry and ophthalmology to deliver exceptional vision care. Today our affiliates provide eye care services at 25 locations throughout New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland, and our footprint continues to expand through additional acquisitions. With 75 doctors and over 500 employees, OOMC treats over 75,000 patients annually. Responsibilities:
Preparation of the monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
Integral contributor to the preparation of the annual plan and quarterly reforecasts.
Analyzes actual vs. budget variances and provides detailed and actionable explanations.
Creates variance analysis reports and financial models.
Leads real-time financial performance monitoring.
Escalates any financial issues to management.
Sets and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives.
Recommends strategies for increasing financial performance.
Presents detailed monthly financial reports to managers.
Mastery of financial planning and analysis software.
Collaborates with senior members of the accounting and finance teams.
Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials
Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and dashboards
Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools
Familiarity with data query/data management tools is extremely helpful (Access, SQL, Business Objects)
Requirements
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Accounting or Finance Required
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Must have 1+ years of progressive accounting experience
CPA is a plus
Experience supporting financial statements and schedules highly preferred
Experience working with NetSuite or another ERP system a major plus
Experience working with QuickBooks a major plus
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including V-lookups, pivot tables, and analyzing large data sets
Ability to build strong, positive working relationships
