Essential Job Functions: Assist the Finance Department including but not limited to: Processing accounts payable. Processing accounts receivable. Performing bank reconciliations and making bank deposits. Manage petty cash. Prepare monthly and quarterly reports. Assists in annual Town financial audit. Answers the telephone and provides excellent customer service to the public. Provides information to the public about Town Hall and the Town of Melbourne Beach. Has basic understanding of how each department operates in Town Hall. Prepares and sends emails and correspondence as required. Updates the Town\xe2\x80\x99s social media sites as required. All other duties as assigned. Required by the Position: Prefer an Associates Degree with 2-3 years\xe2\x80\x99 related experience. Must have one (1) year of experience in a similar position. Must have one (1) year of experience in Accounts Payable. Ability to work in the United States. Sufficient experience to understand basic principles relevant to the essential job functions. Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English. Knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures. Knowledge of general office procedures. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to learn and use other software programs related to finance. Ability to work independently. Must be organized and provide attention to details. Ability work with numbers efficiently and accurately. Ability to learn and understand government accounting codes, Town and departmental policies and procedures and Town Ordinances. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public. Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $20.00 per hour Benefits:
