Job Description


The Facility Coordinator Personnel is responsible for supporting the facility operation of the Reily Student Recreation Center. Primary responsibilities include ensuring safe environment for all recreation areas. These include Gymnasiums, Weight Room, Cardio Areas, and Courts. This position ensures efficient building operations, and accurate dissemination and enforcement of facility policies and procedures. This position hires, trains, and directly supervises part time Facility Attendants. The Facility Coordinator has budgetary responsibility, communicates building maintenance issues, purchases rental equipment, manages inventories, and assisting with special events. Additional responsibilities include coordinating payroll management of direct reports.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to work as part of a professional team and to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer service skills and relate to diverse user groups.
  • Knowledge of strong supervisory/personnel management skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends, as needed.
  • Knowledge of computer proficiency in Word, Excel, and desktop publishing preferred.
  • Ability to use strong communication skills.
REQUIRED BACKGROUND CHECK, PHYSICAL, AND DRUG SCREENING FOR INCUMBENTS WHO HAVE CONTACT OR EXPOSURE TO ANIMALS OR ANIMAL TISSUES:
Selected candidates must complete and pass a background check and an occupational health screening as a condition of employment. For identified jobs, a drug screening will also be required. The background investigation required occupational health screening, and any required drug screening will be conducted after a conditional employment offer has been extended.
Required Education and/or Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of relevant job experience.
