St. Catherine University and the Facilities Department invite applications for a full-time Facilities Coordinator.

Our Facilities team manages the University\xe2\x80\x99s operations, maintenance, environmental safety and compliance and ensures a thoughtful and pro-active approach to campus safety, facilities maintenance, and compliance with safety protocols. Department teams are called upon to effectively handle emergency/crisis situations such as severe weather and fire. Additionally, there have been a number of new protocols developed in response to the coronavirus. The Facilities Coordinator handles the intake, triage and assignment of all facilities related work orders from the campus community. Responsibilities include:
  • Track and facilitate a wide-range of service delivery related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, custodial and ground maintenance.
  • Work effectively with multiple trades groups and provide coordination of request necessary to support the operations managers in their goals of timely, efficient and effective resolution of facilities issues.
  • Assist with communication when needed with outside vendors on project work.
  • Maintain up to date vacation calendars, on call schedules and contact information related to all trades types, custodial, ground and vendors.
  • Manage Work Order System user set ups, security roles, and report development.
  • Demonstrate good communication and problem solving skills with department staff and diverse populations in every building and role.
  • Serve as facilities point of contact for campus community and outside sources to direct calls and individuals to the proper managers or directors.
  • Assist the Facilities Supervisor with the fleet maintenance schedule for 40 university vehicles including weekly checks & forms of vehicles, maintenance of driver license and transport vehicle to various service stations for gasoline refill, oil changes, repairs and cleaning, and repairs and insurance
  • Coordinate proper certification and training of student employee staff
  • Assist the Facilities Supervisor with weekly pest control activities including emergency outbreaks, bed bug inspections and coordination of other outside entities required when the issue concerns electrical, HVAC or other facilities related risks.
  • Collaborate with facilities teams to coordinate uniform and work clothing purchase

Minimum Qualifications
  • Two years of full-time, professional work experience that includes experience serving customers with a helpful manner and respectfully striving to find acceptable solutions when issues arise.
  • Experience successfully collaborating with co-workers to ensure that a team or department is well represented and builds trust and respect with customers.
  • Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and approved driving record.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google suite of products.



Preferred Qualifications
  • Four years of full-time, professional work experience
  • Facilities experience
  • Experience reading floor plans and engineering drawings
  • Maintenance planning experience including use of a work order system
