HII is currently seeking a full time Facilities Coordinator to join the Huntington Ingalls Industries Mission Technologies Division. This position will be directly supporting the facility manager with everyday tasks, as well as assisting employees within the facility. This position will require motivation, high attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, have outstanding customer service skills, and be able to complete tasks with minimal supervision. This position is located at our NET Center in Hampton, VA.

What You Will Do


  • Maintains contact with and directs contractor representatives and assists in resolving discrepancies in design specifications.
  • Verifies labor expended and materials used and inspects projects for conformance to engineering standards and codes, building techniques and safety practices.
  • Estimates percent completion of projects and advises designated individuals of cost status.
  • Prepare documentation for the Facility Manager such as budgets, correspondence, and operation details. This also includes any clerical duties the Facility Manager requires.
  • Coordinates the construction, installation or rearrangement of equipment and building facilities and/or equipment and machinery maintenance for assigned area.
  • Manage the reception staff and an additional Facility Coordinator.
  • Act as of the POC for classified materials that are received at the facility, and complete deliveries to government facilities.
  • Assist the Facility Security Officer as needed, to include being an admin for classified rooms.
  • Compose correspondences that will be delivered to 30-40 employees.
  • Assist with training events / customer within the facility, as well as act as the POC.
  • Zoom administrator for the facility.


What You Must Have


  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience.
  • Hand delivering sensitive and controlled information to and from government contractor facilities.
  • Experience traveling to customer / government sites using a company vehicle.
  • Must be on call in case of a facility emergency.
  • Possess an active Secret Clearance.
  • Management experience

  • Job Performance may require lifting and moving of furniture, supplies and equipment.
  • Currently an active admin for the Net Center facility for the classified spaces, including the CTA and STAR. (Must be able to access the room after hours).
  • Experience with requisitions
