BAE Systems is seeking an exceptional Program Manager for an exciting opportunity supporting the Air Force\'s next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM), the Sentinel (Ground-Based Strategic Deterrent) Program.
Tell me about this job. This Program Manager will work with a highly skilled team providing critical program management and research analysis expertise to formulate official responses to requests from Congress, their staff, and congressional oversight committees on matters of congressional interest, inquiry or investigation. The team serves as the Sentinel [formerly known as Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD)] Systems Directorate\'s liaison focal point for providing targeted messaging to internal and external stakeholders to include the United States Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC), the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), the Secretary of the Air Force (SECAF), Department of Defense (DoD), and Congress among several others. The team is instrumental in documenting and illustrating Program successes and challenges via Congressional Reporting Requirements, Requests for Information, Articles, Bullet Background Papers, Talking Papers, Fact Sheets and news releases.

Why Sentinel? The GBSD (Sentinel ICBM) Program is an enormous and complex \xe2\x80\x9cMega-Project\xe2\x80\x9d modernizing the entire ICBM weapon system deployed across tens of thousands of square miles in five states. Without any doubt, Sentinel is one of the DoD\xe2\x80\x99s most important acquisition efforts for the next decade, if not longer. It includes a complete refurbishment of hundreds of aging Minuteman III ICBM facilities to secure and support a newly designed, technologically advanced ballistic missile. It will also provide an entirely new command and control system as well as vast array of required support equipment specifically engineered to operate and sustain the new weapon system over the decades ahead. GBSD is the Department of Defense\xe2\x80\x99s newest official \xe2\x80\x9cprogram of record,\xe2\x80\x9d having just achieved Milestone B. It enjoys broad, strong support at the national level. It is a long-term project - the weapon system will deploy over a nine-year period beginning in approximately 2026, and remain operational until at least 2075.
