Summary:
Our mission as a Retail Field Operations team is to provide the retail field teams with the tools, resources and assets that give them the ability to operate their business and invest more time with sales associates of all Client supported mobile product channels. There are also channel events, for and with our customers that need a client brand presence and enable our field teams and channel teams to support.
As an Operations Event Manager, you will project manage all events that require a client experience which retail operations supports. This role may also include supporting larger field sales programs. Events can range from small pop-up experiences to 1300+ attendee conference events. The Operations Event Manager will be responsible for end-to-end support of all events. Some, but not all these requirements include, vendor management all external event providers, delivery of all planned/scheduled programs, project management of all event elements, budgets and timelines, provide program calendars for all programs and events for the field team of 350+ Client associates and supporting 50k+ retail sales associates. This role will also require cross-functional partnership with senior leadership events team and internal field, sales and channel organizations.
You will collaborate with all Retail Account Channels, Marketing, Design, Merchandising, Technology, Training, After Care, Finance, HR, PR, Field, and Strategy teams at both Global and North American levels to bring operational execution of events to life for the field team.
As the Operations Event Manager, you will support the corporate operations team, 3rd party events teams, global headquarters events teams and retail field teams. Through effective communication, strategic mindset, collaboration, organizational agility, project management, and overall project management skills are vital elements of the job.
As a complex organization, the Operations Event Manager will be key in facilitating alignment and feedback from cross-functional teams. You will gather insights and feedback to improve upon existing field event processes and ultimately align to the broader company goals. You will evaluate event performance and impact through field execution, tools and KPI metrics vital to the growth and success of Client products.

Position Summary:
This position serves to lead events activities for the Retail team at Client Electronics America, with a focus on strategy, execution and program management.
This person will be an experienced, strategic and highly creative individual who will orchestrate Retail internal and external events, employee engagement activities and national training events. This will include but not limited to product unpack events, product launch events, the Consumer Electronics Show, Major Corporate Events in the US, national retail meetings, Mobility Business Unit meetings, retail field events, large scale Client sponsorship events, Channel Customer events, other recognition events, etc. This person must be technologically adept, have exceptional project management and communication skills, comfort with logistics, and is highly collaborative. A proven track record is critical for managing successful large-scale events and employee engagement programs.
Role and Responsibilities:

  • Design, manage and orchestrate overall Retail Events and Programs
  • Provide oversight of event management and logistics
  • Manage reporting dashboards to measure and report on KPI\'s and success of event programs.
  • Manage event retail budgets for employee engagement activities.
  • Coordinate with Business unit operations teams, B2B, Marketing, Corporate teams on events and engagement activities.
  • Manage and communicate events and engagement calendars.
  • Host meetings to ensure collaboration, including managing the virtual meetings features such as screen sharing, recording, polling, breakout rooms, muting, etc.
  • Manage 3PL teams for specific events and projects.
  • Providing post-event support including, attendance reports, postmortems, etc.
  • Build strong working relationship with other divisions (Consumer, Networks, Display, etc.) to identify areas of cooperation.
  • Work with internal creative teams, agencies, training organization and platforms to deliver content.
  • Plan and manage programs, on time, on budget, to scope.
Qualifications/Skills:
  • 4+ years of experience leading events and engagement programs
  • Experience working on projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating schedules.
  • Track record of driving and piloting new ideas, measuring the impact and iterating
  • Ability to manage and influence across highly cross-functional teams including sales, customer support, PR, social and marketing.
  • Experience managing projects of varying complexity; time management and project management are critical skills.
  • Ability to effectively build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Works well independently and as part of team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Adapts well to a fast-paced environment.
  • Necessary Skills & Attributes:
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all assigned levels within and outside the company.
  • Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects.
  • Review detailed product development, marketing documents and media materials as needed.
  • Demonstrated competency in both oral and written communication modes for both internal and external personnel at various levels.
  • Work independently and in a team environment to achieve customer business objectives, personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames and specifications.
  • The ability to develop tasks and work assignments, based on sometimes vaguely defined objectives.
Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions:
The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:
  • Work is generally performed in an office environment.
  • Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal 70% of work time, including prolonged periods of time.
  • The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time under 25 pounds
  • Performs work under time schedules and stresses which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive job stress, fatigue, intellectual challenge, constant technical data feedback, language barriers, and business management stress.
  • Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids representative and commonly associated with PCs, printers, and office work areas.
  • Frequently works additional hours beyond normal schedule.
  • Under very little direct supervision with a high level of responsibility to apply general policies and guidelines where decisions are seldom monitored, and consequences of decisions adversely affect operating results and management decisions. Complete access to confidential company data where disclosure may jeopardize the company\'s competitive position.
  • Must be able to work in the Plano, TX office three days a week (or more if required) as determined by organization.
