A large General Contractor is seeking an Estimator near Minneapolis, MN. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a rewarding career in the construction industry, specifically in the field of estimating. The salary is commensurate with experience in the $50-75k range with great benefits! All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for various commercial construction projects.

• Review architectural plans, specifications, and project scopes to gather necessary information for accurate estimating.

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to collect and analyze data related to labor, materials, and equipment costs.

• Utilize construction estimating software and tools to perform quantity take-offs and cost calculations.

• Research and source material and subcontractor pricing to ensure accurate estimates.

• Maintain a comprehensive database of historical project data for reference in future estimations.

• Contribute to the development of bid proposals and presentations for clients.

• Assist in evaluating project risks and opportunities and offering value engineering suggestions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred.

• 0-2 years of experience in commercial construction estimating

• Unerstanding of construction materials, methods, and processes.

• Proficiency in using construction estimating software is a plus.

• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.

• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
