Put your technical and problem-solving skills to work fielding, refining, trouble-shooting, and sustaining electronic security system (ESS) installations as part of a dynamic, growing team delivering cutting-edge solutions that address mission-critical needs.

Bowler Pons Solutions Consultants, LLC (Bowler Pons) is looking for an ESS Sustainment Engineer to join our Hawaii team supporting our defense customer base. This position will primarily be responsible for the ongoing sustainment of video monitoring and/or smart meter installation points dispersed across various military installations across Oahu, as well as providing expert recommendations regarding future system upgrades.

Job Responsibilities:

• Sustain electronic security system (ESS) field installation points
• Interface and coordinate as needed with the responsible networking points of contact to make sure all deployed assets are fully operational and reporting back to their assigned system(s)
• Ensure that all existing and new ESS installations adhere all applicable engineering standards and performance specifications
• Program, test, and troubleshoot all components of assigned ESS, to include various PTZ cameras, Schneider smart meters, Echelon ILON SMARTSERVER, wireless radios, Cisco field switches, recording servers, and/or 900 MHz wireless antennas
• As part of system installation/upgrade, terminate all necessary cabling to include LMR400 coax, CAT5/6, and LONWORKS
• Liaise with other Bowler Pons customers and subcontractors/teammates in the provision of integrated security services at key military installations

Required Qualifications:

• U.S. citizenship
• Ability to obtain/maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality delivery
• Wireless certification (vendor-neutral or vendor-specific)
• Achievement and/or maintenance of DoD

(CSWF) IAT I-III certifications * CompTIA Security+ Certification

• OSHA 30 certified
• Knowledge of basic networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, MODBUS)
• Knowledge of and experience with the LONWORKS protocol
• Knowledge of and experience with basic serial protocols (RS-232, RS-485)
• Ability to collaborate well with team members, take ownership of projects and initiatives, and work effectively with limited supervision across a broad range of customer-oriented environments

Additional Desired Qualifications:

• Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Engineer (CCNE), or similar network administrator certification
• Familiarity with the Army Metering Program, to include EEDRS and/or MDMS, or the Navy Advanced Metering Initiative
• Experience designing, installing, or troubleshooting wireless sensor networks
