We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Cyber Security Engineer to join our team! Description: This position is a cyber security engineer position on cleared program supporting a production product, and will work on a scrum team tasked with development and maintenance of the current and planned capabilities. Candidates applying for this position must be actively TS/SCI cleared with CI Poly, as well as be willing and able to work on-site in Herndon, Va. The desired candidate will be able to conduct cyber risk assessment activities including threat modeling, vulnerability analysis and analysis of mitigation solutions. They will also evaluate and analyze design constrains, trade-offs and detailed system and security design as they pertain to the Cyber domain. Furthermore, they will conduct cybersecurity test and evaluation of hardware and/or software designs to verify and validate compliance with defined specifications and requirements, and employ cyber security processes, methods, techniques and tools and assure their consistent application. Finally, they will implement appropriate Assessment and Authorization activities as required by customers. Requirements:

• Title: Cyber Security Engineer
• Level: Intermediate to Senior
• Education Minimums: Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree. Considered career, or journey, level.
• Must have Cybersecurity knowledge
• Must have active Top Secret Clearance
• Must be willing to work full time on-site

Desired Skills:

• Minimum 4-7 years of security engineer experience
• Security+ or equivalent IAT Level II DoD approved 8570 baseline certifications.
• Experience implementing ICD 503 RMF.
• Knowledge of common security tools such as XACTA (Telos), HBSS, Vulnerability Security Service (EVSS), ACAS (Tenable/Nessus), and Splunk.
• Demonstrated experience working across multiple teams and job functions, bridging both sustainment and enhancement priorities
• Experience and familiarity with one or more of the following: Familiarity with RMF, NIST SP 800-53 controls, STIGs, Secure Configuration/Hardening of DoD Information Systems, and/or RMF Security Controls and applications to hosted cloud solutions
• Experience with at least 1 programming language (Python, Java, Javascript)
• Prior experience working with one or more of the following environments and applications: Linux, AWS
• Experience working on a Development team within SAFe or other Agile Release Trains
• Experience with Git and contributing to open source projects
• Demonstrated experience working across multiple teams and job functions; bridging both sustainment and enhancement priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative team environment
• Location: 100% Onsite, Herndon, VA
