This is a full-time Career Service position.

Regular business hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm EST, Monday to Friday.

Location: \xe2\x80\x9cLocation is open statewide. The position location will be based on selected candidate.\xe2\x80\x9d

THIS IS NOT A TELEWORK POSITION. CANDIDATE WILL BE REQUIRED TO WORK IN THE OFFICE.

Salary to be determined, based on experience, up to $65,000.

If selected for hire, current DCF employees will be compensated in accordance with the DCF salary policy.

Some travel required.

Minimum qualifications:

  • At least two (2) years of professional experience working where the primary responsibilities are project or program focused.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in managing a team.
Preference may be given to candidates that meet the following criteria:
  • Experience working for DCF in the ESS program or other community agencies, non-profits, and other Governmental agencies.
  • Have a bachelor\'s degree or relevant equivalent work experience.
  • Experience working in emergency management.
: Project Management Team - Program Consultant

This is a highly responsible professional position in the Economic Self Sufficiency (ESS) program. The individual in this position functions as a program consultant responsible for organizing, planning, and supporting program management activities in a variety of ESS program areas and in coordination with other internal and external agency partners. The incumbent must be organized and detail-oriented, have the ability to work with diverse teams, and possess the ability to proactively. The incumbent in this position will also be a member of the DCF disaster response team and may be required to perform emergency program and/or response duties and travel on short notice in support of agency and ESS specific disaster relief activities.

The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Provide program support and oversight for assigned programs to ensure conformity with Federal and State laws and regulations and the Department policies and operating procedures.
  • Effectively implement program management and/or project management principles to lead the implementation of programs and related projects as assigned.
  • Lead the development of long- and short-term project plans, including setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines and ensures program and developing and tracking project deliverables.
  • Utilize technology tools to managed program and project support activities, track deliverables and document updates for assigned programs.
  • Serve as a point of contact to lead meetings, coordinate progress reports, and interface with key stakeholders and leadership.
  • Develop strategies and recommendations for leadership to ensure program goals are achieved.
  • Identify and implement operational process improvements.
  • Manage project risks related to timelines, scope, budgeting, and quality.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with support offices across the agency to complete project tasks.
  • Prepare reports and data visualizations by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.
  • Conduct monitoring activities related to program implementation and participate in post program evaluations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
