Overview
Summary
Good Shepherd Services (GSS) is embarking on its Strategic Planning process which will start in January 2023 and commence in July 2023. GSS aims to use a participatory and inclusive process to create a Theory of Change (TOC) and subsequently a Strategic Plan (SP) that will be implemented over the next five years (2023-2027).
- The TOC will anchor our work in our goals; the changes we want to see at GSS.
- Our Strategic Plan will then help us generate the broad directions and operational steps that we want to take to meet our goals, focusing our resources on how we conduct our activities.
- The shared logic articulated in the TOC will be used to address the challenge of operationally connecting an organization with programming as diverse as GSS.
The overall process will be spearheaded by the Chief Impact and Strategy Officer (CISO) and will consist of a design team and planning team.
Planning Team: Consists of a cross section of approximately 20 GSS staff who will lead the overall SP process. The Design team is a subset of the larger planning team.
Design Team: Core team of 5-6 staff who will facilitate the overall process.
Scope of Work
GSS is seeking a consultant who will assist with the development of our Strategic Plan:
- Overall project management and administrative support of the Strategic Plan including scheduling, note taking, etc.
- Creation of PowerPoint presentations for Design Team, Planning Team, Board of Directors, agency wide meetings, etc.
- Compilation of information and data collected
- Coordinates and helps facilitate two day in-person SP Summit in June 2023 (tentative dates, June 15-16, 2023)
- Attends and helps prepare for Bi-Weekly Meetings (mostly via Zoom, 1.5 hours each)
- 10 hours per week from February 2023 through June 2023 (possible extension through August 2023) -- June may require up to 24 hours per week
