Job Description

Responsibilities:
Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position available for an entry-level mechanical engineer. Responsibilities include performing job site surveys of food and beverage manufacturing facilities to analyze ammonia refrigeration, process glycol and HVAC systems; calculating refrigeration requirements for process cooling loads and building loads; performing engineering calculations for system designs; assisting in the selection of system components required for new and existing systems; drafting and editing AutoCAD drawings; assisting in the development of project documentations; assisting in creating written specifications for equipment; coordinating technical specifications, delivery requirements, and quotation parameters with outside equipment suppliers, subcontractors and customers. Travel will be required. Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering from an accredited four-year college or university or be able to obtain degree within nine months of hire.


The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:

• A mechanical internship working in an engineering, architecture, or construction firm
• Coursework in heat transfer and thermodynamics
• Coursework or experience in AutoCAD
• Capability of obtaining an EIT within nine months of hire
• Familiarity with International Mechanical Code requirements, ASHRAE standards, and building construction materials
