Job Description


Finding the right fit:
Ayres is seeking to hire a full-time entry-level mechanical engineer. You ll be working with a great group of people on a diverse variety of projects. As a new employee, you won t just work anonymously on a conveyor belt of projects. Instead, you ll interact with project managers and division leadership, and forge long-term relationships with clients. Professional and personal growth is encouraged and supported. On any given day, you ll:

  • Design HVAC, plumbing, and process piping systems.
  • Model building systems using the Revit family of tools.
  • Drafting building systems using AutoCAD.
  • Run HVAC load calculations and energy calculations using Trane Trace, EnergyPro, and ComCheck.
  • Coordinate mechanical design elements with electrical and architectural teams, and other consultants.
Required qualifications:
  • A bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
  • Knowledge of Mechanical, Plumbing, and Energy codes.
  • Experience in both Revit and AutoCAD.
Desired skills and experiences:
  • Experience with EnergyPro, Trane Trace, and ComCheck.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of International Mechanical, Plumbing, and Energy codes.
Our good-faith compensation approach is fair and equitable, and takes into consideration only permissible factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, training, skills, and experience, and geographic location where the work is performed. A salary range for this posting is $70000 - $80000 / year. The foregoing salary range represents what the company believes, in good-faith, it will pay for the posted opportunity. The individual selected for this role will be evaluated with the compensation factors in mind and placed appropriately.
