Green Mountain Union High School is looking for a highly qualified, dedicated professional to join our Language Arts Department for the 2023 - 2024 school year. GM is currently accepting applications for a 1.0 FTE Middle/High School English Teacher.The ideal candidate will have:
- Deep knowledge and understanding of proficiency based teaching and learning
- Demonstrated knowledge of classroom management and instructional skills
- The use of differentiated instruction to support all students
- The use of formative assessment to provide student feedback and to adjust lesson delivery
- The use of technology to transform teaching and learning
- The use of the trauma informed practices approach to establish a safe and caring classroom community
- Dedication to providing a safe and respectful learning environment for students
- Excellent teaching, organizational, planning, written and oral communication, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to the success of all students, and ability to understand and teach to the various needs of our students
- The ability to effectively engage students
- Commitment to continuous improvement in the areas of knowledge and professional practice.
