Elementary Speech Language Pathologist

Position Overview:

We have a full time Speech-Language Pathologist opening with our school partners in Oak Lawn! This district is looking for a Speech Language Pathologist to support general education and self-contained students in two different schools within the same district. The SLP in this role will be responsible for providing push-in and pull-out services to a caseload of 30 students. In this community focused school, you will find that the teaching staff, administration, and families work collaboratively to achieve student success. The wonderful student-to-staff ratio and private office space will allow you to enjoy an outstanding level of support and instructional services.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Completes evaluations to assess speech needs and areas of growth
  • Provide services to a caseload of 30 students including self-contained, general education, and speech only
  • Provide direct and indirect speech and language services to identified students with growth need
  • Assist special education coordinators with developing student Individualized Education Plan (IEP
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and other staff to meet the students\' speech and/or language needs
  • Observe students and collect data to measure progress and adjust treatment plans
  • Facilitate staff and community training in the area of communication disorders
Qualifications:
  • Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Professional Educator License (PEL) eligible in the state of Illinois
  • Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License
