The Opportunity

This position works out of our Scottsdale, AZ location in the Cardiac Rhythm Management division.

As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats.

Electrical Engineer performs entry-level activities to design and develop the layout, construction, and evaluation of a variety of prototype Printed Circuit Boards, fixtures, and tools. Identifies and routinely uses the most effective and cost-efficient business practices to execute processes. Promotes continuous quality improvement and risk management and coordinates solutions for technical and project issues. In addition, engineering and scientific principles are applied to evaluate and solve technical problems. Exercises independent judgment in planning and organizing work; monitors performance and reports status. Identifies and routinely uses the most effective, cost-efficient, and best practices to execute processes; continually evaluates their effectiveness and appropriateness.

What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Work On

Provide supporting services and tooling at the direction of senior engineers and scientists.

Lay out and construct a variety of prototype tools and fixtures required for development purposes.

Conduct evaluations, test and analyze related to feasibility and function.

Perform troubleshooting and fault isolation activities on a variety of breadboards and hybrids.

Conduct measurements specified in design verification plans, documents and tabulates results, and provides engineering test reports.

Document custom tools with specifications, schematics and mechanical layouts to support document control and tool release.

Comply with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.

Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors

Required Qualifications

Bachelors Degree (\xc2\xb1 16 years) Electrical/electronic engineering or related engineering field OR an equivalent combination of education and work experience

A minimum of six months of relevant work experience in performing the layout construction, and evaluation of a variety of Printed Circuit Boards, fixtures and tools.

Demonstrate ability to understand and comply with applicable FDA regulations and Company operating procedures, processes, policies and tasks.

Demonstrate personal computer skills and ability to perform basic word processing/spreadsheet tasks to perform documentation, presentation, and analysis activities.

Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.

Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects. Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner. Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
