Kona Pacific Public Charter School is in search of dedicated professionals with a passion to supporting education in preschool through 8th grade. Educational Assistants work in teaching teams with lead teachers in every classroom, supporting academic and social development of students. Educational Assistants are an integral part of the Kona Pacific team. This is a great entry level position for those looking to start their career in the field of education. Associate degree, Early childhood certification, or Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree preferred. The purpose of Kona Pacific Public Charter School is to provide the families of West Hawai\'i the option of a non-traditional, pedagogically strong public-school education for their children. The roll of an Educational Assistant (EA) is to: Actively support all students to a balanced school curriculum. Support departments by taking on practical roles of responsibility for administrative, managerial and auditing activities. Join and work cohesively within a highly motivated and professional group of teachers. Communicating effectively with support staff. Responsibilities \xe2\x97\x8f Support students with emotional / behavioral problems and help develop their social skills / behaviors, including the implementation of behavior modification programs when required. \xe2\x97\x8f Assist in the educational and social development of pupils \xe2\x97\x8f Assist in the implementation and planning of Individual Education Programs for students and the monitoring of students\xe2\x80\x99 academic progress \xe2\x97\x8f Support students in mainstream classes including all academic subjects and all aspects of PE including swimming and field sports. \xe2\x97\x8f Assist students to access the curriculum safely. Matters relating to health and safety ultimately remain the teachers\xe2\x80\x99 responsibility. \xe2\x97\x8f Assist in the maintaining of student records Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: From $38,000.00 per year Benefits:
