POSITION: CHILD CARE PROVIDER/LEAD TEACHER, EARLY CHILDHOOD STAFF
ACCOUNTABLE TO: OWNER
Duties and Responsibilities:
Day-to-day care of children; Provide the quality of care children need to thrive; Plan and prepare for activities in advance so that all necessary supplies are available and ready for the children to use; Ensure that we provide a stimulating, developmentally appropriate environment for children; Serve as lead teacher for a group of children; Keep the environment safe, clean and sanitary; Prepare breakfast, lunch or snacks as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Eighteen years of age or older; Have completed a high school education or the equivalent; Have knowledge of child development as evidenced by professional reference, education, experience, and on-the-job performance; Have written proof of education and experience including: A current child development associate certificate preferred; or Have at least one-year experience working with children ages 6 Weeks to 12 years old; Complete required STARS training within six months of becoming hired and 10 hours yearly after First Aide/CPR Card Valid Washington Driver's License Blood Borne Pathogens Card/ HIV/AIDS Negative TB Test Food handlers permit Background check Resume DCYF trainings
HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE:
Must be flexible and able to work varied shifts part-time (10 to 40 hours per week Monday-Friday).Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.66 - $20.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
