Job Description


Overview / Responsibilities

:

  • Meet or exceed company and customer safety standards.
  • Ability to understand document/drawing information.
  • Is familiar with various Client based EDM systems (Electronic Drawing Management Systems).
  • Able to collect, analyze and assimilate data for the migration of files to the new system.
  • knowledge of Records Management best practices and experience with Quality Management Standards development.
  • Ability to manage complexity with multiple, simultaneous tasks with competing priorities.
  • Daily tasks will include but not limited to the following activities:
  • Scan, upload paper documents and organize onto a secure server.
  • Access data as requested by various departments \xe2\x80\x93 print, copy and/or send via email.
  • Audit check of project related packages; assembles documents/drawings, prints, checks for duplication, maintains sequence and ensures accuracy.
  • Audit Engineering records to remove obsolete information and convert manual files to electronic for improved retrieval.
  • Assist in the maintenance (uploading) of new TX Practices and Standards Work for publishing to SharePoint site.
  • Migrate pertinent document/drawing data from multiple repositories to current document/drawing repository.
  • Ability to use AutoDesk AutoCAD for updating attributes, title block clean-up and batch printing.
  • Other activities such as; disposition of supplies, paper for 2nd floor copy machines, etc..
  • Provides support to staff members that deals with organizing and retrieving various company documents.
  • Maintain cooperative, efficient, and good team working environment with Client personnel, Team Members, external engineering contractors and vendors.
  • Communicate, both verbally and in written form in a professional manner.
Skills / Qualifications

Skills / Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1-5 years of Document Control Clerical experience
  • 1-5 years proficiency in the utilization of various EDM systems (Electronic Drawing (Document) Management)
  • Knowledge and/or proficiency in products such as; AutoCAD, Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
