Overview
This limited-service position was created through a grant that was awarded to Vermont State Colleges who will sub-grant to the VT Department of Corrections. As the Post-Secondary Program Coordinator, this position will engage with Vermont\'s correctional facility staff in post-secondary educational opportunities and improved employment opportunities for staff. This position will be in the Department of Corrections and be supervised by the Deputy Director of the Office of Professional Standards and Compliance. Duties include creating, planning, and executing communication strategies to connect VTDOC staff with post-secondary learning opportunities available through the Community College of Vermont (CCV). Collaborating with VTDOC executive management, CCV, and stakeholders to identify areas of staff needs and/or vulnerabilities in the workplace that can be addressed through class offerings. Design, prepare, and present training and informational materials to VTDOC staff to promote post-secondary education opportunities available through the CPSEI for all Department staff interested in pursuing post-secondary education and career path development. This position will include considerable travel as you will be required to attend meetings, develop professional development plans with staff, and other events across the state to include correctional facilities and field sites. The position is fully funded through 8/31/2025 with a potential one-year extension.

Environmental Factors
Duties are performed predominantly in an office setting with frequent travel to six correctional facilities throughout the State. Work schedule will include regular scheduled hours outside State workday (7:45 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Friday) and may include some weekend support.
Minimum Qualifications
Three (3) or more years of experience in project management, or program coordination.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as described above.
Bachelor\'s degree in one or more of the following and/or other related field: adult learning, education, organizational development, and/or public administration AND two (2) years or more experience that includes any combination the following: training or staff development, teaching or facilitating programs for adults, providing consultation services to an organization.
