Reporting to the Sr. Director, Retail Finance, Global FP&A and Capital, this Director, Retail Finance, SAP Integrated Management Reporting 12 - 18 month temporary position is responsible for the development and implementation of the North American Retail SAP Integrated Management Reporting strategy associated with an ERP change to SAP S4 and the use of S4HANA and/or HANA Unify. The Nutrien Ag Solutions business is undergoing a comprehensive ERP system conversion; this role is critically important to ensure that management financial reporting is effectively re-designed to produce efficient, accessible, and consistent reporting to draw financial insights and support business evaluation and decisioning.

The Director, Retail Finance, SAP Integrated Management Reporting will be responsible to deliver a strategic roadmap aligned with user needs and tactical execution. Understanding stakeholder needs and system capabilities will be critical in developing the Retail Financial Management Reporting strategy.

The Finance team at Nutrien has the vision to be the \xe2\x80\x9cInsights Engine\xe2\x80\x9d to the business, providing data-based analytic insight to drive business decisioning, capital allocation and operational performance optimization. The Director, Retail Finance, SAP Integrated Management Reporting, is a key role in enabling the Retail Finance Decision Support team to realize this vision as we migrate our ERP system to SAP S4.

The Director, Retail Finance, SAP Integrated Management Reporting Secondment will ensure requirements are gathered from all stakeholders in a collaborative manner; strategy is developed in conjunction with appropriate technology partners and executed with a view to optimize and innovate reporting needs. This leader will serve as a subject matter expert and provide strategic direction on utilizing existing and new reporting technology to scale, grow, and increase the effectiveness of Retail management financial reporting as well as data & analytics. The Director will be both a strategic, creative thinker and operationally hands-on.

What you will do:

  • Accountability and thought leadership for the development and execution of the Nutrien Ag Solutions (Retail Business Unit) North America Retail Management Reporting strategy, which produces increased speed, accuracy, and availability of reporting
  • Support further optimization of Global Financial Management Reporting
  • Guide and engage with a complex group of stakeholders which includes Retail executive, Field, technology, and functional support teams through the development and execution of the strategy. This will include overseeing the teams responsible for implementation and adoption including any direct resources required, Project Management, Change Management Specialist(s), and external service providers, and providing support and insight to the team
  • Effectively manage the interdependencies with other projects & teams including the ERP implementation team and other teams focused on other Finance needs including Period End Close, Financial Reporting, Consolidations and Finance Master Data
  • Ensure the developed strategy is implemented in a structured manner that addresses risks, and meets cost, scope, and schedule constraints
  • Lead relationship between Retail Reporting Strategy work and the Information Technology organization
  • Liaise with senior leaders in Finance and across North America Retail to provide expert perspective and identify and execute on the Reporting Strategy, reinforce a culture of innovation, and ensure customer satisfaction with reporting delivered
  • Monitor new and emerging data and reporting technologies and leading practices to identify opportunities for automation and innovation that will improve Reporting efficiency, cost, effectiveness, or scalability
  • Establish mechanism to monitor effectiveness of reporting technologies and innovations implemented to ensure ongoing benefits anticipated are achieved
  • Ability to direct collaborative efforts of any direct resources and other resources throughout the organization, including internal and vendor technical resources and other constituent groups as appropriate
  • Manage relationship with and performance of external vendors and service providers, if required, and ensure the vendor or service provider is delivering an acceptable level of performance
  • Ensure an effective escalation process and resolve or further escalate issues as needed
  • Balance the perfect with the pragmatic to reach outcomes that move the organization forward quickly and effectively
  • Work seamlessly across stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • Seamlessly manage conflicts, perspectives, and priorities
  • Keep a pulse on the latest thinking within and across industries as it relates to reporting technology and innovation
  • Serve as an internal consultant / advisor to leadership
What you will bring:

This role requires a combination of strong financial acumen and a strategic mindset to develop and implement our reporting approach in an efficient manner and at a low cost to maintain and support.
  • A Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering from a recognized institution, and minimum of 15 years related Finance and operations experience of which at least 5 years are in a managerial level position
  • SAP and Microsoft suite proficient (including PowerBI)
  • Transformation and ERP implementation experience a plus
  • Prior experience supporting the financial disclosures and financial management reporting
  • Project management certifications are an asset
  • Be comfortable scoping solutions to complex, ambiguous and challenging issues
  • Be comfortable working with large data sets across multiple systems
  • Work in an agile way, adjusting priorities, timelines, etc. as things change across projects
  • This leader will be experienced in SAP and financial management reporting
  • Skilled in strategic thinking, transformation, innovation, project management and leadership to foster individual and collective creativity while managing risks and developing strategies for global management reporting using leading practices and existing and new data management technologies
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex unstructured information rapidly and develop insights and recommendations
  • Passion for moving out of the status-quo and leading change that makes an impact
  • Experience influencing leaders, peers and delivery teams to work collaboratively and adopt leading technology and methods
  • Ability to understand business trends, foresee risks and opportunities, and effectively influence business results
  • Ability to develop strong relationships at all levels within and across the organization
  • Strong knowledge of core management reporting requirements and the Retail business
  • Track record of growing innovation capability and maturity within organization
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills, ability to define, influence, and drive change at executive levels and the broader community of stakeholders
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
Compensation & Benefits:

$143,920 - $197,890. This range is estimated for the Drtr, Retail Finance, SAP Integrated Management Reporting in Colorado. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.
