Schedule: On-site M-F, 8-5/flex according to business needs

Compensation: Competitive, DOE

What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Do:

The Director of Finance is a newly created role for Gymreapers, our team is growing! This role will be the primary financial strategic partner dedicated to the company working directly with the CEO. Depending on experience this role may be hired in as a Senior Mgr. This role will lead the overall finance/FP&A function of the business, oversee financial reporting, and partner with executive leadership to deliver on company goals. They will be responsible for budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting, and financial decision-making to drive company performance. They are expected to have strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. In addition, they will possess a broad knowledge of all accounting, financial and business principles. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on contributor, leader, and partner to the executive team with prior start-up experience in high-growth companies.

In addition, this role:
  • Oversees budgeting, including permanent and temporary allocations, and reporting of operating funds
  • Advises, operates, and serves as an internal lead for senior management on budget and financial issues.
  • Develops long-term financial forecasting and strategic financial analyses to inform budget development. Implements new and existing budget priorities and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure key deliverables for financial close, forecast reviews, and annual business plans are met.
  • Ad-hoc analysis, financial modeling, consolidation, or related duties as required or assigned.
  • Drive the financial planning process, including medium, short-term, and quarterly forecasting to ensure all plans and forecasts accurately reflect business strategy and requirements for the organization.
  • Leads and facilitates communication with the business regarding best practices in policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the implementation of a new ERP system, NetSuite
  • Attends meetings as a member of the leadership team and provides information as requested regarding budgets and processes.
  • Drive the process to translate business line strategy into financial plans and targets, offering robust and insightful challenges during the budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Stay close to the teams you support so that you can proactively surface and address challenges before they become real issues.
  • Passion for innovative Finance solutions and process improvement.
  • Manages personnel budgets, including salary savings, and carryforward.
  • Develops and monitors financial reports which provide critical financial information not available with standard university reports.
  • Identify opportunities for streamlining processes and improving efficiencies within the organization.
  • Become a trusted advisor on all things FP&A-related to our functional Senior leaders.
  • Drive the end-to-end FP&A function with functional leadership.
  • Create and maintain the effectiveness of Finance policies, practices, and processes to foster continuous improvement.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.
What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Bring:
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in senior financial planning and analysis (FP&A) roles
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Business Finance or a related field
  • Preferred Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Business or finance a plus
  • Experience with start-up, high growth company a plus
  • Experience with NetSuite
  • Knowledge of budget development and monitoring.
  • Knowledge of supervisory and personnel management practices a plus
  • Experience interpreting and applying laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting complex documents and situations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build positive working relationships with varying levels of authority.
  • Ability to effectively present and articulate complex concepts in a simple and understandable fashion.
  • Ability to use independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize diversified workloads/projects.
  • Highly organized with superb attention to detail.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and the ability to learn and use new software systems.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional environment and lead a team of skilled professionals to deliver corporate results
  • Manage time to meet tight deadlines while remaining organized, detail-oriented, accurate and thorough
  • Experience in Strategic Planning and Execution
