The Director, Portfolio Systems provides end to end support around the portfolio management application to ensure that the information required by the business is met. These data streams are around financial and non-financial data, used for portfolio reviews, long range planning, therapy area strategy and prioritization, post investment review, and governance decisions just to name a few. This role is responsible for providing detailed level analysis and technical and process support of the Planview Advisor (Enrich EAP) - the AstraZeneca portfolio platform which builds upon the Project Management Platform (Planisware) capabilities. The Portfolio Platform utilizes data from Planisware and project valuation models to provide a comprehensive view of projects across all TA\xe2\x80\x99s and brands for reporting and analytics. What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Do:

• Provide support around the annual business calendar, associated processes and deliverables
• Able to holistically work across the boundaries of multiple systems/processes/teams within and outside of the GPPM organization
• Timely turnaround of BAU (Business as Usual), ad-hoc tasks and able to work in a fast-paced environment while still being able to prioritize requests effectively
• Understand and apply confidentiality and sensitivity rules around certain data
• Creative thinking and problem solving of complex issues
• An acute attention to detail and able to think outside of the box
• Deliver training for new users
• System user management as well as data management
• Maintain communications to the internal audience
• Maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders
• Effectively assess, test, and implement system improvements as part of continuous improvement
• Provide roadmap of the system data strategy
• A drive for results and the ability to bring ideas to action, track key metrics and root cause analysis
• General understanding of the AstraZeneca active drug pipeline across all therapy areas
• Understanding AstraZeneca\xe2\x80\x99s data standards, definitions, end to end drug development process

Essential Requirements:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in relevant field
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• In-depth knowledge of drug development process
• Database management experience (Master data, information flows, etc.)
• Financial/valuation acumen (DCF - discount cash flow, P&L - profits and losses, and NPV - net present value)
• Advanced Excel skills in relation to Portfolio Platform tables, formulas, and VLOOKUP\xe2\x80\x99s
• Advanced PowerPoint skills to prepare presentations to relevant stakeholders
• Knowledge of tools in relation to portfolio management as a subject area including the ability to conduct detailed analysis of pipeline data.
• Expertise in use of enterprise-wide pharmaceutical or new product development portfolio management software solutions, including detailed analysis and troubleshooting.
• A level of knowledge/awareness of the overall biologic/pharmaceutical product development process, including stages of development.
• Experience in working on a multi-functional team.

Preferred Requirements:

• Portfolio management experience
• Experience with relational SQL databases and Oracle
• Experience with Enrich EAP (Planview Advisor)
• Amazon Web Services, Redshift, S3, ETL
