Position Overview: The Director of Telephone Marketing will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the outbound marketing, inbound marketing, verifications, and off-shore call center teams within the organization. This position reports directly to the VP of Marketing and is responsible for managing multiple teams of employees, including 4-5 managers. The primary objective of this role is to effectively manage all lead-related activities, including lead qualification, appointment booking, and verification processes and call center activities of marketing employees. Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Provide leadership and guidance to the outbound marketing, inbound marketing, verifications, and off-shore call center teams, ensuring they are aligned with the overall marketing strategy and organizational goals.
  • Lead Management: Oversee the lead management process, ensuring the teams efficiently qualify leads, book solar appointments for the sales team, and verify lead information before appointment booking.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the telephone marketing department, tracking metrics related to lead conversion rates, appointment quality, and overall team performance.
  • Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members, ensuring they are equipped to effectively handle lead management responsibilities.
  • Recruitment and Hiring: Collaborate with HR and relevant stakeholders to identify staffing needs, participate in the recruitment process, and make hiring decisions to build a high-performing team.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate comprehensive reports on marketing metrics, including lead generation, conversion rates, and campaign performance, providing insights to the VP of Marketing for strategic decision-making.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve lead management processes, identify areas for optimization, and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure a seamless lead management process and align strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Budget Management: Work closely with the VP of Marketing to develop and manage the department\'s budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Stay Updated: Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in telephone marketing, incorporating relevant advancements into the department\'s strategies and processes.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent experience in a revenue generating call center environment will also be considered.
  • Proven experience in managing telephone marketing teams.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Solid understanding of lead nurturing metrics and experience in reporting and analysis.
  • Experience in training and developing team members to enhance their performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and optimize operational efficiency.
  • Familiarity with lead management systems, CRM software, and telephone software management.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
