Director of Development & Marketing Job Summary: The Director of Development & Marketing will serve as a trusted philanthropic advisor, educating donors about giving opportunities that would enable them to achieve their desired impact on ABLE, Inc. and the constituents it serves. This role also serves as the organization\xe2\x80\x99s expert in marketing, creating and implementing marketing plans to generate a strong presence in the communities we serve. Qualifications & Skills: Required:


    • BA/BS or equivalent years of work experience
    • 5+ years of experience in senior level development and/or marketing role with significant fundraising responsibilities
    • Passion for and dedication to ABLE, Inc. mission
    • Experience creating marketing and communication strategies
    • A proven track record of raising major gifts for a non-profit organization
    • Experience with planned giving, corporate and foundation grants
    • Outstanding presentation and communication skills
    • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
    • Complete integrity, honesty, and confidentiality
    • Ability to work with time-sensitive issues
    • Ability to travel and work non-standard hours
Preferred:

    • Experience working with the protection and advocacy of vulnerable populations
    • BA/BS in Business, Communications, Public Relations or Marketing
    • Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE)
Role Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Fundraising & Marketing
  • Identifies with, shares in, and displays a commitment to the vision, mission, core values, and core virtues of ABLE, Inc.
  • Creates and executes a multi-year development plan for the organization including but not limited to annual campaigns, year-round stewardship of donors, board education & engagement in philanthropy, database management.
  • Creates both fundraising and marketing strategies to attract new and diversified donors and expand the existing donor base and gifts received.
  • Researches and implements digital media and new technologies to expand donor outreach and raise awareness of the organization.
  • Collaborates with staff to align social media, communications, and outreach efforts.
  • Creates, markets, and implements a planned giving program.
  • Manages foundation and corporate grant pipeline, LOI\xe2\x80\x99s, proposal writing, tracking, and reporting.
  • Collaborates with the Executive Director to fully engage the board of directors and key stakeholders in fundraising campaigns and strategies.
  • Set specific fundraising goals to meet the on-going needs of the organization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Brand and External Communications
  • Protects and stewards the brand of ABLE, Inc.
  • Builds the organizations brand by designing and piloting innovative marketing, fundraising and communications approaches.
  • Creates a marketing strategy that increases visibility through multiple avenues, including relationship building, targeted messaging, content creating, media releases and social media.
  • Gathers and share impact stories through coordination with staff and advocates.
  • Explores new partnerships and event opportunities to expand awareness of the organization.
Leadership
  • Partners with the Executive Director to maintain and build relationships across the organization and community to support the strategic goals.
  • Attends Board and Foundation meetings as required.
Continuing Education:
  • Attends conferences/workshops as needed to further the organizations\xe2\x80\x99 ability to raise funds and share the story of ABLE in impactful and new ways.
