Compensation: $140,000 -$160,000

  • Actual salaries will vary based on a candidate\'s qualifications, competencies, experience, geographic location.

Summary

The Director of People Systems & Operations provides strategic leadership and tactical guidance to our People Systems & Operations teams. Responsible for evaluating, building, and maintaining our systems and processes to drive workforce effectiveness while delivering an engaging employee experience. This position is a thoughtful strategist and an expert tactician. This position is an integral part of our People team and will report to the VP of Total Rewards, People Systems & Operations.

Key Responsibilities

Systems:
  • Responsible for leading the evaluation, configuration and maintenance of our People Systems
  • Create and maintain a strong partnership with the enterprise systems team to maintain our quality and production SaaS environment, ensuring collaboration and support through quarterly releases, integrations with other systems, identity management and maintenance of our core people systems.
  • Create and maintain strong partnerships across the People team functions, seeking to understand the needs of the different stakeholders and then manage the enhancement/updating/fixes/configuration of the systems to create the most efficient processes and drive the best possible employee experience
  • Assess, diagnose, prioritize, and lead the design, implementation, and administration of all People systems, working with subject matter experts across the People team and enterprise systems/IT as appropriate
  • Supports, manages, and develops all members of the People Systems team focusing on delivering quality products and services while supporting squad development.
  • Works with the team to develop, implement and maintain processes and practices to ensure consistent administration and high levels of customer service
  • Evaluates system design and integration along with internal processes to ensure cost effective and efficient People support solutions
  • Develop and maintain a People Systems roadmap in collaboration with IT
  • Collaborates with the MOD SAP Center of Expertise cross-functional team to maintain the SAP platform
  • Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services, lead RFP process and system implementations



Operations:
  • Partner with People leadership to develop a strategy that supports our company vision (including key metrics, drivers for growth, and organizational capacity to deliver against objectives)
  • Manage and provide guidance to People Operations teams
  • Partner closely with other members of the People team as well as internal stakeholders to further define and drive efficient, scalable processes, programs, and systems in support of the employee lifecycle within our People Systems
  • Lead the People team reporting function, ensuring timely, accurate repeatable reports and dashboards to help drive departmental and business outcomes.
  • Participate and coordinate preparation of Quarterly Business Review presentations and any other periodic reporting to leadership teams
  • Review, assess, and implement appropriate record retention policies and programs, and SOX related schedules and reviews
  • Support the MOD Listens program strategy and execution (MOD\'s employee engagement survey)



Basic Qualifications
  • 12+ years of People Operations and HRIS management experience
  • 8+ years of experience as a people leader
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and align resources with key initiatives
  • Strong ability to diagnose technical and process gaps with proven success in implementing solutions
  • Experience working in a dynamic, fluid, and fast-paced environment
  • Passion for, and deep understanding of People Operations, and Tech/SaaS business
  • Proven track record of creating solid relationships with internal business partners
  • Expertise in leveraging information to influence business outcomes
  • Excellent communication skills, with proven ability to effectively present information on an individual basis and to leadership



Physical Requirements

Office work involves remaining in a stationary position most of the time in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse, and telephone. Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment. Occasionally move about the work site to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. Exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or regularly move objects. Communicate and exchange information with co-workers and other individuals in person and electronically.
