Job Description


The Director, Medicaid and Marketplace Growth will provide strategic direction, guidance and industry expertise to lead a team that partners with Health Plans directly in order to enable them to achieve growth goals across Medicaid and Marketplace.

The Regulated Markets Growth Team is responsible for supporting the organic growth of existing health plan business of over 8M lives, through both expansion efforts and attracting new membership in existing service areas, in addition to supporting plans with state procurements to retain their existing membership. The role will drive innovation and team strategy to ensure continuous improvement and enhancements of the regulated markets Medicaid and Marketplace growth support model. S/he provides leadership and strategic direction to guide the team in providing collaborative support and market insights to assist Health plan clients meet their growth goals across these lines of business. This role also has responsibility for partnering with applicable organizational partners to bring on net new Health Plan business to the organization.

As part of these efforts and critical to the role will be understanding the intricacies and dependencies to support market success in Medicaid and Marketplace. It will be essential the role drives the team\xe2\x80\x99s strategic approach to supporting client growth, developing client specific growth plans, and providing market and trend best practices to drive client success. The role requires significant executive presence and will interface heavily with client executives.

Responsibilities:

1. This role devotes significant time to securing new business prospect and retention of existing Health Plan clients through successfully partnering to drive growth at the plan level within regulated lines of business.

2. In partnership with the regulated markets quality and regulatory team as well as regulated markets/product development team, provides a client perspective to drive new solutions within the organization.

3. Provides strategic direction that drives a cohesive client engagement strategy that spans across all regulated market lines of business in partnership with regulated markets quality and regulatory team.

4. Interfaces with Account team functions on initiatives that promote growth opportunities that will allow Express Scripts to differentiate itself with our support model or capabilities.

Drives an active coaching and high performance culture within the team. Participates on cross functional initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree required ; MBA/MHA or other advanced degree/certification welcomed
  • 8-14 years relevant experience
  • A result-focused executor, who brings discipline, drive, and accountability to ensure delivery on plans for capturing market share.
  • Detailed knowledge and expertise of the regulated markets with an emphasis on Marketplace/Medicaid and the PBM industry.
  • Adept at working with senior leaders and developing key relationships.
  • Ability to work cross functionally with multiple departments to gain consensus and move projects and initiatives forward.
  • An inspirational, compelling leader who is capable of communicating the vision to external and internal constituents; and commanding the respect and enthusiasm.
  • Experience in attracting top talent, building and developing effective teams.
  • Up to 1/3rd travel may be required required.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 151,100 - 251,800 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus and long term incentive plan.
