The Director of Advanced Analytics identifies and capitalizes on opportunities to improve business performance, and provides oversight of Data Science, Financial Modeling and Dashboard Design. This is a technical role requiring experience in SQL, Data Science principles and financial modeling, as well as team management and the ability to clearly articulate to leadership.

Additional Responsibilities include:

  • Seeks out opportunity to build new value-adding operational and financial analytics and integrate analytics and data science principles into existing deliverables.
  • Prepares complex financial models to support new product initiatives, customer lifetime value analysis, margin impact analysis and predictive modeling.
  • Presents oral and written presentations to key stakeholders and the organization regarding key metrics, results and current and trending business conditions to foster the achievement of strategic goals. Has the ability to lead and influence across these stakeholders.
  • Delivers and improves regular operational and financial reporting and analysis packages with important commentary.
  • Integrate analytics, algorithms and models with the existing BI tools including Cognos and Tableau, using R or similar language.
  • Drives new analytics projects, creates new metrics, and bridges operational analytics to financial impacts.
  • Creates flow-through and driver-based models, from top-line impact down to P&L and Cashflow impacts
  • Participates in data governance to establish new metrics, qualify and maintain operational and financial metadata, manage reporting hierarchies, and improve and maintain data quality and sources.
  • Develops strategies and direction for the development and application of reporting systems to ensure they support the organization\xe2\x80\x99s strategic objectives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, takes part in project-based initiatives and conducts ad hoc analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Information Systems
  • 5 years of experience in positions of increased responsibility in reporting and analytics
  • 3 plus years of management experience with professional-level direct reports
  • 5 years of experience developing financial models
  • 1 year of experience in data science techniques and languages
  • 1 year of experience using query languages such as SQL and BI tools
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate technical business requirements to non-technical end users
  • Established leadership ability to be able to lead and develop team members to achieve strategic objectives
  • Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in written form.
  • Travel 25% to engage with the business users Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in Director Role
  • CPA Certification
  • Timeshare industry experience
  • Experience in Tableau, Cognos or similar BI tools
  • Experience in Oracle or similar financial reporting tools
  • Experience with SOX/ITIL controls
  • Experience in pricing and revenue management
