The Role at a glance:
We are looking for an accomplished and self-motivated Director of Culinary employee to work in a remote capacity, supporting our Cura division. This particular role will be best served by someone with vast experience in developing new products and concepts by conducting consumer testing, observing market trends, creating and/or modifying recipes and retail food innovations. This role will be responsible for the development of of new products & concepts by conducting consumer testing, observing market trends, creating and/or modifying recipes and retail food innovations. This role will have responsibility for development of culinary programs and procedures that will have company-wide impact.
What you\'ll be doing:
Formulate, test, and fully develop recipes and programs as it relates to specific market segment and operational needs
Develop scalable recipes being mindful of procurement and operational challenges
Ability to create best process to access and manage recipe data base to include rationalization of and identification of new development needs
Partner with corporate dietitians, creative, and marketing teams in delivering concept speed to market that can be easily interpreted and executed by operational teams
Pilot new concepts and product on location in order to validate functionality and garner customer feedback
Decipher and articulate latest trends and data from third party sources
Assess culinary talent and develop training materials ot meet their needs
Develop cycle and special menus for acute care and senior living clients
Routinely visit accounts, provide a fresh eye review, and develop an action plan for deficient areas
Ability to present content across functional teams in an articulate and professional manner
What we\'re looking for:
Must-haves:
Associate degree at minimum
Must meet state and local food handler requirements.
Must possess food handler\'s permit.
Must possess a current ServSafe certification.
Minimum five years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Regional Executive Chef role
Culinary continuing education
Understanding of Menu Management Systems and overall technical savvy.
Experience delivering training across all levels of an organization
Previous working experience with PPT, Excel, Microsoft Teams or other project management software
Nice-to-haves:
Culinary certification
At least 5 years of culinary operations experience in high volume setting, contract foodservice management preferred
Prior experience with CBORD
