Role Summary:
The Marketing Director will lead Billfold\xe2\x80\x99s marketing function and develop and implement a marketing strategy to enable sales and generate more revenue. The Marketing Director will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success on product launches, product positioning, customer education, and messaging. The Marketing Director will also help Billfold better understand its target markets, buyer personas, competitors, and pricing model

Role Responsibilities

  • Research and understand Billfold\xe2\x80\x99s potential clients\' pain points, challenges, motivations, and buying behavior and translate it into a marketing strategy that addresses our product marketing, branding/PR, digital marketing, conference/special events, and pricing to drive sales.
  • Identify, implement, and oversee the internal resources (headcount, tools, or processes) and external resources (consultants, agencies, etc.) needed to execute the day-to-day management of Billfold\xe2\x80\x99s product marketing, branding/PR, digital marketing, and event marketing efforts.
  • Implement and develop a lead generation strategy that includes creating buyer personas, identifying target markets, and determining which marketing channels to use to reach potential clients.
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success to support go-to-market efforts, including new product/feature launches, product positioning, product knowledge, messaging, and competitive analysis.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to develop and execute new product/feature launch process and prioritize the product roadmap.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Required)

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 6+ years of marketing experience with a demonstrated track record of exceeding as an individual contributor and marketing leader
  • Experience with product marketing including product launches, product positioning, competitive analysis, and messaging Experience executing successful campaigns across various channels including social media, PR, content marketing, video marketing, email marketing, mobile marketing, paid marketing (PPC, etc.), and SEO.
  • Prior experience with data gathering/management, analytics, A/B testing, and revenue forecasting
  • Prior experience working in live events, ticketing, or event tech
  • Highly proficient in written communication, storytelling, research, and copywriting
  • Proficient in HTML (mainly for WordPress) and design/user experience
  • Knowledge of landing page optimization, CTA optimization, and funnel marketing
  • Knowledge of growth hacking, branding/positioning, and customer support/success

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Preferred)

  • Experience using Zendesk and Intercom

Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
  • Must have the ability to walk short distances, pick up materials, and sit for extended periods of time.
