Skillsoft is seeking a highly experienced leader to shape our Executive Communications strategy, provide executive counsel, and enhance the company\'s reputation as a leader in transformative learning experiences. The Director of Executive and Internal Comms will work closely with colleagues across the organization, including External Comms, Investor Relations, Content & Product, Legal, HR, and Sales, helping to elevate our story \xe2\x80\x93 both internally and externally \xe2\x80\x93 and our corporate platform. Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead our executive communications strategy and planning, including the quarterly earnings reporting process, top-line business initiatives, executive communications, business development and corporate issues.
  • Develop and execute programs that build, enhance and protect our executives\' brands and reputation
  • Lead external corporate communications in various areas including: Executive Communications, Financial Communications, Crisis Communications/Issues Management
  • Develop/implement a proactive executive communications plan that aligns with the company\'s strategic business plan and our executives\' platforms
  • Work closely with and train key executives to effectively interact with media
  • Explore/understand earned, traditional, social and emerging media to drive the narrative through multiple channels
  • Serve as the first line of defense for responding to real-time crises including recall communications/other consumer issues, ensuring consistency of the company\'s message/values
  • Work closely with Investor Relations to engage with business/financial media and other external stakeholders.
  • Support the production of the Chairman\'s Annual Letter to Shareholders, Annual Meeting of Shareholders, and other corporate publications. Including the Company\'s Impact report, and the development and execution of quarterly/annual communications
  • Manage an effective and innovative thought leadership program, developing strategic speaking plans for our CEO and key leaders in the US and globally.

Desired Qualifications
  • 10+ years of corporate communications experience in an agency or in-house environment (EduTech/SaaS experience preferred, but not required)
  • A minimum of a BA/BS degree.
  • A passion for helping people become the best versions of themselves
  • Innovative and creative approach to storytelling, not just traditional PR tactics.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and messaging skills.
  • Agile and flexible - willing to do the work
  • Global perspective and an ability to work with different cultures, perspectives and attitudes.
  • Ability to thrive and succeed in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills across all levels of an organization \xe2\x80\x94 from individual contributors to senior leaders.
  • Proven ability to manage external resources and stay within budget.

Target base salary range for this job requisition is anticipated to be $118,000 - $150,000 annualized. We also offer participation in the Company Bonus Program and full benefits. The company may modify salaries, salary ranges and/or Pay Plans from time to time as it deems necessary.
