Job Overview


The Director Community Programming & Projects sets the strategy and develops the execution plan for strategic investment initiatives, enterprise-wide teammate programming, and experiential events. The Director will be accountable for the development, training, onboarding, and performance of the Community Programming and Projects team. Serves as an internal and external point of contact for key stakeholders and will collaborate cross-functionally internally and with external partners for activation of critical initiatives with strategic assets, community partners, and large internal teammate engagement programs.

Duties & Responsibilities


  • Director sets the strategy for strategic initiatives, enterprise-wide teammate programming, and experiential events. Creates and executes implementation plans for strategic community programs and event activities, including tracking status and holding the team accountable to deadlines and key deliverables including managing timelines, and offering regular status updates through completion of the planned program.
  • Drives initiatives through informed decision-making for projects or programs by collaborating with internal teams and leadership in partnership with SVP; identifying goals, assumptions, and risks; overseeing the creation of communication plans and framework; and educating sponsors, stakeholders, and senior executive leadership.
  • Collaborates with internal and external partners on the development and implementation of external community partnership engagement initiatives focusing on building relationships and community engagement.
  • Externally builds and maintains relationships with non-profit partners, customers, vendors, and teammate volunteers.
  • Accountable for the growth and development of Community Programming and Project teammates
  • Measures and evaluates the success of programs, and incorporates feedback into future planning. Supports the development and review of future programming and project plans.


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities


  • Project planning experience and knowledge
  • Ability to develop strategic and politically savvy programs and messaging, navigate nuisance political issues, and oversee multiple events and programs simultaneously
  • Ability to build relationships with various strategic asset partners, community partners, customers, public officials, business executives, non-profit organizations, and teammate volunteers
  • Budget management and business forecasting
  • Travel up to 50%
  • At times must be willing to work outside of \xe2\x80\x9cnormal\xe2\x80\x9d business hours or on weekends based on project or program demands
  • Verbal and written communication skills


Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree
  • Knowledge acquired through 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Driver License


Preferred Qualifications


  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Policy, Political Science
