Customer Service Rep Billing

Job Description


Health Network seeking a Customer Service Representative to start immediately in their office in Wethersfield CT!

Schedules: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Location: Wethersfield, Connecticut

:

  • Handles all incoming billing / payment calls and/or triage to appropriate party.
  • Conduct appropriate follow up with practice and/or collector to resolve billing inquiry issues.
  • Responds timely to all internal and external requests.
  • Update patient account data when applicable (ie: insurance coverage, addresses etc.)
  • Utilize payer websites to assist in verifying patient eligibility.
  • Well versed in reviewing insurance remittance advice to determine how claims were processed.
  • Familiar with ICD-9 and CPT codes as they relate to billing and collections.
  • Serve as a backup for the receptionist during lunch breaks or absenteeism.
  • Interacts with patients, physicians, staff, and visitors in ways that demonstrate caring and reflects professional behavior.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in the Healthcare Industry
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
