The role:

Join our team in Bend as a customer service manager. In this role, you will lead operations for the Bend and La Pine DMV offices. You will supervise and mentor team members, oversee operations for assigned offices, represent the agency as a leader and ensure customer service standards are consistently met. This is a limited duration appointment that is expected to end on or before June 30, 2024. Limited duration appointments are benefits eligible and have a designated maximum length of service. The limited duration appointment has the potential to become permanent.

A day in the life:

Lead, direct and supervise work in assigned field offices.

Maintain and monitor office systems and programs to ensure customer service standards are met.

Research and resolve complicated transactions and issues.

Complete reports and maintain accurate records related to the operations of assigned field offices.

Ensure important documents and inventory are properly stored and accounted for.

Review applications and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.

Review and investigate complaints.

Coordinate and make recommendations regarding facility and equipment maintenance.

Coordinate work groups and provide input on programs, policies and procedures related to driver licensing, vehicle titling and registration transactions and field office operations.

Perform physical examinations of vehicles to determine correct vehicle identification number (VIN).

Prepare and monitor budget by evaluating and forecasting budgetary needs.

Monitor employee development to ensure technical proficiency and customer-service skills that contribute to a work environment that collectively values and benefits from respecting its diversity and promotes a culture of inclusiveness.

Work is primarily conducted in an office setting and can include irregular hours based on business needs.

Travel between assigned offices is required and may require traveling in inclement road and weather conditions.

What we need:

Four years of lead work, supervision or progressively related experience.

OR

One year of related experience and a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a related field.

Special Qualification: Driving is an essential function of this position. You must have a valid driver license and an acceptable driving record. We will conduct pre-employment driving records checks on our final candidate(s). Your license does not have to be issued in Oregon to be considered.
