Overview

Generoasta Cafe & Bistro is expanding and looking to add dynamic individuals to our team as a "Culinary Team Member" where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional food service experiences. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about the food industry, food quality, presentation and possess strong customer service skills.

As a Culinary Team Member, you will be responsible for food preparation, serving customers and maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Communicate effectively with the team. Ensure all food handling and sanitation practices are followed to maintain food safety. Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems for efficient order processing. Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and upselling menu items. Handle cash transactions accurately while adhering to cash handling procedures. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Participate in inventory management and stock rotation to minimize waste.

Qualifications

Previous culinary experience in a quick service or casual dining restaurant is preferred. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with guests positively. Experience with cashiering and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing. Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Previous experience in retail or grocery store settings is a plus.
