Job Responsibilities

With our Agency\'s mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.

This position is located at 2100 Charlie Hall Boulevard, Charleston, SC 29414.

Under general supervision provides support, educational, consultative, and preventive mental health services to patients at Charleston Dorchester Mental Health Center. Services are provided with an emphasis on engagement, assessment, and assistance with crisis intervention.

Expectation of meeting patients where they are (physically; at home; or in the community) to include safety in the field training.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

State Minimum Requirements: A bachelor\'s degree in guidance, counseling, or the social sciences and professional experience in human services or social services programs.

Agency (DMH) Minimum Requirements: A bachelor\'s degree and professional experience in human services or social services program(s) and at least one year of experience working with adults with mental illness.
