Job Description

UTZ Quality Foods is seeking a Corporate Safety Coordinator, Sales & Logistics to join our team in Hanover, PA. Reporting to the Director of Risk Management, this position will assist Sales and Logistics teams with the implementation and practical application of safety program elements, procedures and practices. This position will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations, which are designed to protect the human, financial and physical assets of Utz Quality Foods while helping to continually create a company-wide safety culture through safety training, risk assessments and improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities

• This position will require up to 25% travel throughout the lower 48 states but will be primarily assigned to the Hanover Corporate office (Pennsylvania).
• Support local management team members with the day-to-day application of the Utz vehicle safety program.
• Support the motor vehicle record (MVR) monitoring process.
• In coordination with Management Team members, ensure that Utz safety incident and auto accident reporting requirements are met.
• Create, distribute, and support the delivery of quarterly Sales safety training materials.
• Manage, organize, and maintain safety training records.
• Create and distribute safety communications across the Sales & Logistics Groups.
• Become the lead investigator for any serious work-related injuries or incidents.
• Assist or otherwise support the safety audit process specific to Utz owned/operated distribution centers and warehouses.
• Assist work teams at all locations with critical safety and health initiatives.
• Help compile and review internally generated statistical information and participate in developing recommendations.
• Keeps apprised of and informs Utz management of developments in federal and state safety laws that are likely to affect the company.
• Represents Utz with government agencies on safety and health matters affecting the company.
• Responsible for quality and food safety tasks for their position.

Requirements

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Safety Sciences or Engineering preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety related and/or vehicle safety management.
• Proven leadership skills along with the ability to influence and motivate others to quickly achieve results.
• Able to partner with internal customers and demonstrate knowledge of the business, including key issues, processes and needs.
• Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of Utz associates and management.
• Strong interpersonal and training skills to lead training sessions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and TEAMs.
