Compensation Minimum:$88,400

Compensation Maximum:$169,000

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location.

Tenney 110 is a unique team within American Family Insurance that builds, buys, and grows new insurance-adjacent property technology (PropTech) businesses. We are seeking an experienced financial analyst to join the team and support our ongoing strategic finance and reporting initiatives across our fund, our portfolio, and our new and emerging business opportunities.

In this role, you will\xe2\x80\xa6

  • Conduct complex financial analysis, reporting and consulting to internal business partners.
  • Support the achievement of corporate financial and growth goals by providing management with necessary financial information and analysis pertaining to profitability and key financial measures.
  • Provide divisional leadership with the information and recommendations needed to consider the financial impacts of proposed initiatives.
  • Enable the forecasting of complex top and bottom-line projections through the use of predictive modeling.
  • Support the annual profit & growth planning effort with leadership and staff both within and outside the division to establish the coming year\xe2\x80\x99s plan.
  • Proactively identify and continually incorporate innovative analytical approaches within the business performance domain.
  • Establish and maintain chargeback mechanisms, processes, and controls for accurate reporting.
  • Coordinate budgeting system to manage each product and partner.
  • Assist in review, via financial analysis, of portfolio companies, new ventures, and potential M&A targets.
  • Develop and maintain valuation methodologies for Tenney 110 ventures and portfolio companies.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years Corporate Finance experience
  • Management consulting agency experience strongly preferred
  • Excel fluency (pivot tables, macros, v lookups)
  • Tableau or other similar BI tools
  • SQL and/or Python preferred
  • Banking, venture capital or private equity experience strongly preferred
This position is a hybrid role that involves working a minimum of 10 days per month in the office. We know flexibility is important to our employees and their families, and we will continue to offer flexibility in this flex office/home role. This approach will guide us in balancing the needs of the business, customers and our employees.
