The Coordinator of Recruitment assists the Director of Recruitment with development and implementation of recruitment strategies. The Coordinator ensures effective recruitment, pre-admission advisement in the Office of Recruitment. Additionally, this position is responsible for the effective day-to-day administrative duties associated with those functions. Work includes oversight of daily recruitment activities, and other duties as assigned. Reports To Director of Recruitment What position(s) reports to this position?
Recruitment & Community Outreach Advisor Minimum Education/Experience
An earned Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in education, social sciences, human relations, communication, liberal arts or other related field.

Minimum of four (4) years full-time responsible and related employment in recruitment. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Demonstrated organizational abilities with ability to give attention to detail
Ability to communicate diplomatically, clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Knowledge and understanding of the needs of diverse populations

Technical expertise with computer applications and automated systems
Advanced skills in Word including, but not limited to ability to insert illustrations, equations, symbols, tables, watermark, track changes, add notes/mark-ups.

Skills in Excel including, but not limited to the ability to insert mathematical formulas, header/footer, using pivot tables, removing duplicates.

Skills in PowerPoint including, but not limited to use of template, paragraph and font functions, insert new slide, adjust the theme, insert and arrange images, illustrations and text fields, adjust slide transitions, spell check, print as slides or handout in color, grey-scale or black and white.

Knowledge of Outlook including, but not limited to the ability to create and send meeting requests, use internal address book to locate employee email addresses, adjust reading view for mail and calendar, search for previously received emails by person and topic.

Basic general computer skills including, but not limited to locating and opening a software or internet based program without a desktop shortcut create a new folder, save item to specific location (shared folder, desktop, documents folder, etc.).

Strong public speaking skills. Physical Demands/Working Conditions
1. GENERAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

2. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling.

Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which one must convey detailed or important spoken information or instructions to others.

Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and make fine discrimination in sound.
Repetitive Motions: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

3. VISUAL ACUITY:
Requires close visual acuity to perform activities such as but not limited to: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

4. WORKING CONDITIONS
Typical office environment; this position is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
Work experience in college admissions and/or recruitment.
Work experience at a community college. Preferred Qualifications
Work experience in community college environment

Earned or in-progress Masters Degree in Education, Higher Education, or Educational Leadership.

Experience with and understanding of computer-based student information system.

Bilingual/Spanish Required Training

Quarterly Health & Safety Training

Position specific training as needed

Annual Campus Security Authority (CSA) Training Work Hours
