Job Description


Under the direction of the Director of Assessment and Accountability, the Coordinator of Assessment and Accountability will join a team in the Assessment and Accountability department to provide services to measurably improve student learning.

Job Duties / Responsibilities

  • Leverage existing U-46 strengths including data analysis to collaboratively support continuous improvement methodologies such as a data protocol that allow school leadership teams to strengthen academic and behavioral systems at Tier I.
  • Assist in developing strategies to monitor and to evaluate the impact of Tier I instruction including a robust plan to systematically embed leading measures and indicators of student success.
  • Work collaboratively to further develop and enhance the School Improvement Planning protocol/process, reinforcing our continuous improvement methodology.
  • Work collaboratively with a cross-functional district team to support the continua of MTSS supports beginning with the fidelity of implementation of Tier I.
  • Serve as the lead of the district data analytics team to integrate the data systems of all Teaching and Learning District Departments and Information Services.
  • Work collaboratively with the Coordinator of MTSS to assist schools in how to progress monitor and evaluate the impact of interventions on student performance/behavior.
  • Work collaboratively with district and school personnel to enhance the data warehouse, including all five stages of the process-collection, storage, organization, retrieval, and presentation, and the associated staff development relevant for each stage.
  • Support system-wide capacity to utilize qualitative and quantitative data and understand how to use the tools of data display and visualization to convey complex data patterns, leading and lagging indicators and analyses to improve student outcomes.
  • Coordinate and support the implementation of local and federally required assessments as presented in the School District U-46 assessment system guide.
  • Conduct, supervise, or coordinate various types of research projects and write reports, executive summaries of findings, or build presentations, supporting a focus on the relationships among curriculum, instruction and assessment.
  • Serve as one of the district liaisons for state and federal school improvement mandates and accountability, including but not limited to ESSA, IL-EMPOWER, PERA, Accelerated Placement Act, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned
Education
  • Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree or higher from an accredited educational institution.
  • Currently hold or be eligible for Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with endorsements in teaching. Administration (General Administrative or Principal) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as a school teacher/psychologist with at least two years\xe2\x80\x99 experience serving as an administrator or supervisor in educational research, evaluation and planning.
Experience / Knowledge
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills, including but not restricted to statistics.
  • Strong knowledge of instruction and the value of Tier I instruction and assessment.
  • Strong knowledge of MTSS.
  • Strong knowledge of EL and Special Education programming.
  • Strong knowledge of how to link student performance data to Common Core Standards.
  • Strong knowledge of cognitive theory in how children and adults learn
  • Ability to utilize a wide variety of computer technology, hardware and software applications, especially databases and including those involved in the preparation of analytical reports, the use of statistical analysis packages and presentation software.
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively within a team.
  • Strong knowledge of assessment systems designed to siagnose individual student-based assessment needs. Demonstrated leadership and expertise in assessments for English Learners.
  • Strong knowledge of evaluating Tier 1 instruction and assessment
  • Knowledge of and experience with Special Education programs.
  • Knowledge of and experience with U-46 context and systems preferred, but not required.
Physical Demands
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, with the ability to lift up to 30 lbs. with proper technique.
Terms of Employment
  • This is a 12-month position.
  • Salary and benefits as established by the Board of Education.
Salary Information
  • The full salary range for this position is $91,560.00 - $137,323.00. Our typical practice is to hire in between the minimum and midpoint ($114,444.00)
