Western Building Center: Contractor Sales

Position Summary:

WBC is looking for an experienced Contractor Salesman to assist in the sales experience of our customers. Their focus will be on selling products or services to construction contractors and builders. Responsibilities typically include generating leads, building relationships, quoting materials, processing orders, and providing excellent customer service. This role also involves understanding construction plans, providing technical advice, and staying up-to-date on industry trends.

Responsibilities:

Generating leads and building relationships

Providing quotes and meeting sales targets

Customer service

Understanding construction needs and what products they will need

Excellent communication skills with following up with customers and closing the sale

Staying informed with continued education and product knowledge

Job Requirements:

Communication and interpersonal skills

Proficient computer skills

Sales skills: Closing sales and achieving sales targets

Technical skills: Understanding construction processes, materials, and industry standards

Problem-solving skills: Identifying and resolving customer issues and concerns

Organizational skill: Managing multiple tasks, prioritizing deadlines, and maintaining accurate records

Safety-minded

Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Physical Requirements:

Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Comfortable sitting, standing, walking, bending, or stooping for extended periods.
