Job Description


We are actively seeking a temporary Compensation Specialist for the State of Colorado. As a Compensation Specialist, you\xe2\x80\x99ll research job requirements and evaluate job positions to ensure the organization is competitive and equitable in employee pay. Among the work required, prepare compensations structures and salary ranges that help retain and reward a high performing workforce, conduct research using a variety of compensation and data analytic tools.

Pay/Hours

  • $32-36/hr
  • Monday-Friday 8-4:30pm
  • Remote, with a day of in-person onboarding
  • Colorado residents will only be considered
  • Temporary until June 2024
Responsibilities of the Compensation Specialist
  • Identify required contractor personnel and their roles
  • Identify any project management services required
  • Define acceptance criteria, i.e detail the events, performance levels, testing results, required to ensure the state receives the products and services as specified
  • Define submittal requirements of contractors with deliverables (times, place, media, and shipping)
  • Define the change control process. State how the contractor will request a change and define how the state will review and accept the change
  • Define training needs, timeframes, locations, and accommodations
  • Define warranty parameters and length of performance
  • Define maintenance and support, include priority levels and required response times. State requirements for the telephone support on- site support, or after-hours support.
Personnel Qualifications
  • Minimum of three years of experience of performing compensation analysis
  • Three years of experience identifying, analyzing, and interpreting data
  • Proficient with Office suite software, particularly Excel
  • Proficient with Outlook, Word
  • Great communication skills, written and verbal
  • Preferred: Certified compensation Professional (CCP) credential
Preferred: HRM( SHRM-CP) or HRCI (PHR) certification credential
