As a Communications Specialist within PNC\'s Corporate Communications organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA.


  • Executes on the design, development, production and consultation of a variety of internal and external communications.
  • Plans, researches, and develops communications content.
  • Consults with organization on all aspects of communication to ensure clarity, accuracy, and strategic alignment of message.
  • Coordinates final review and approval before internal or external communications are released.
  • Collaborates on communication events, initiatives, or presentations.
  • Compiles, prepares, and synthesizes communications data for management review.

Effective Communications \xe2\x80\x93 Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Influencing \xe2\x80\x93 Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.

Organizational Communications \xe2\x80\x93 Knowledge of and ability to utilize the means, tools, techniques and media to communicate information about the organization internally and externally.

Planning: Tactical, Strategic \xe2\x80\x93 Ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree with
1 year of professional experience and/or successful completion of a formal development program. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
