Metro Communications Agency 911 is accepting applications to join our team of 911 Communications Operators, answering 911 calls and dispatching first responders across the City of Sioux Falls and throughout Minnehaha County. Starting Pay: $23.39/hour (rate of pay increases at 6 and 12 months, with potential for hourly rate of over $25.00 per hour at 12 months of service, and yearly step increase opportunities thereafter, all with demonstrated satisfactory performance). This position has a current top earning potential of up to $34.05 per hour, along with multiple promotional opportunities and special duty designations! Application Deadline: This is a continuous posting for 2023 with exam opportunties offered throughout the year for local and out of state applicants. (The 2022 continuous posting has been closed due to all potential vacancies for 2022 hire dates have been filled.) Tentative 2023 Hire Dates:

• Feb 27th (this class has been filled)
• May 8th (all exam steps need to be completed by the week of March 20th in order to be considered for this class)
• Tentatively September 18th (tentatiely all exam steps need to be completed by the week of July 31st to be considered for this class)
• Additional hiring classes added as vacancies are identified
